Following a briefing at the park headquarters, you’ll trek through the dense forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The hike may take 1-6 hours depending on the gorillas' location, and once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing these magnificent creatures. Your guide will share insights about the forest’s ecosystem and its inhabitants, including other primates, bird species, and diverse plant life. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation before enjoying dinner and another night surrounded by the forest's tranquility.

Immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the Batwa pygmies, the original inhabitants of the Bwindi Forest. Guided by Batwa community members, learn about their traditional hunting and gathering techniques, visit their homesteads, and listen to their captivating stories and songs. Enjoy a traditional meal prepared by Batwa women and gain a deeper understanding of their enduring connection to the forest. After this cultural experience, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Enjoy a serene morning canoeing on the picturesque Lake Bunyonyi, surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with small islands. Afterward, transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your domestic flight back to Entebbe. On arrival, relax at the hotel before heading to the airport for your onward flight.
