Once at Kihihi, meet your guide and transfer to your lodge for relaxation. Prepare for the adventures ahead as you enjoy the serene forest atmosphere. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Begin the day with an early breakfast and prepare for an incredible gorilla trekking adventure. Following a briefing at the park headquarters, you’ll trek through the dense forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The hike may take 1-6 hours depending on the gorillas' location, and once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing these magnificent creatures. Your guide will share insights about the forest’s ecosystem and its inhabitants, including other primates, bird species, and diverse plant life. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation before enjoying dinner and another night surrounded by the forest's tranquility.
Immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the Batwa pygmies, the original inhabitants of the Bwindi Forest. Guided by Batwa community members, learn about their traditional hunting and gathering techniques, visit their homesteads, and listen to their captivating stories and songs.
