Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

 

By booking a trip with PAX Journeys, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms, along with the details available on the PAX Journeys website, establish the agreement between you and PAX Journeys regarding your travel experience. It is your responsibility to review the trip details before finalizing your reservation.

 

2. Booking & Payment

 

2.1. A 20% deposit of the total trip cost is required to secure your spot. 

 

2.2. You may choose to pay the full amount at the time of booking. Otherwise, the remaining balance must be settled by the due date specified in the payment schedule before departure.

 

2.3. Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or debit card. Credit card payments are subject to a 2.5% transaction fee, and bank transfers must cover any additional transfer fees.

 

2.4. The final payment must be completed at least 60 days before departure. The exact deadline will be provided upon booking confirmation.

 

2.5. Failure to complete full payment by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking, with applicable cancellation fees as per our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

 

3. Inclusions & Exclusions

 

3.1. The following are included in your trip:

 

- Transportation from the designated starting point to the final drop-off location, which is typically the same.

- Food and drinks specified in the itinerary.

- Dedicated PAX Journeys trip leader.

- Any specific inclusions mentioned on the itinerary for the trip.

 

3.2. The following are not included:

 

- Travel arrangements to and from the starting point of the trip.

- Any personal expenses before the trip begins or after it ends.

- All types of insurance (travel, cancellation, medical, or otherwise).

- Passport and visa expenses.

- Required vaccinations and any medical costs before, during, or after the trip.

- Additional food and drinks not specified in the itinerary.

- Gratuities

- Any exclusions specifically mentioned on the itinerary for the trip.

 

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

 

4.1. Cancellations by the traveler must be submitted in writing and refunds will be processed based on the following schedule:

 

- 61+ days before departure: Full refund (minus any bank charges).

- 60-45 days before departure: 80% refund.

- 44-30 days before departure: 50% refund.

- 29 days or less before departure: No refund.

 

Any refunded amount will be subject to applicable bank charges.

 

If your booking is for a group of four or more, the 20% deposit is non-refundable under any circumstance. All other cancellation policies still apply to the remaining balance.

 

4.2. No refunds are issued for unused trip components such as accommodations, meals, or activities.

 

4.3. If PAX Journeys cancels a trip due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered either a full refund or a credit toward a future trip.

 

5. Force Majeure & Trip Alterations

 

5.1. Each trip requires a minimum number of confirmed participants to proceed. If the minimum number is not met, PAX Journeys reserves the right to cancel the trip. In such cases, you will be notified no later than 21 days before the trip start date, and a full refund will be issued within 7 business days of the cancellation notice. You may also choose to transfer your payment to another trip or receive credit toward a future departure.

 

5.2. In the event of natural disasters, political unrest, travel bans, or other force majeure circumstances, PAX Journeys may cancel, reschedule, or modify the itinerary. Travelers will be offered:

 

- A credit equal to the amount paid, valid for 24 months.

- The option to transfer the booking to an alternative trip, subject to availability.

 

5.3. PAX Journeys is not responsible for any personal travel arrangements affected by force majeure cancellations.

 

5.4. Travelers are encouraged to obtain insurance covering cancellations and disruptions due to force majeure events.

 

5.5. If a traveler does not accept a credit or alternative trip within a reasonable period, the booking will be forfeited, and no further claims will be entertained.

 

6. Travel Insurance

 

6.1. All travelers must have travel insurance that includes coverage for medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and adventure-related activities.

 

6.2. PAX Journeys is not responsible for any costs incurred due to a lack of adequate insurance.

 

7. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

 

7.1. Participating in adventure travel carries inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, and loss of property. By booking with PAX Journeys, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

 

7.2. PAX Journeys and its affiliates are not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses sustained during the trip.

 

7.3. Travelers are required to follow safety instructions provided by trip leaders. Failure to comply may result in removal from the trip without a refund.

 

8. Transport & Delays

 

8.1. PAX Journeys is not responsible for delays or cancellations by airlines, trains, buses, or other transportation providers.

 

8.2. If a traveler opts to leave the trip early or make independent travel arrangements, all associated costs will be their responsibility.

 

9. Code of Conduct & Respect Policy

 

9.1. PAX Journeys fosters a respectful and inclusive travel environment. Travelers are expected to treat fellow participants, staff, and local communities with respect.

 

9.2. Discriminatory, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the trip without refund.

 

9.3. Any violations of this policy will be taken seriously and may lead to exclusion from future trips.

 

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

 

10.1. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

 

10.2. Any disputes will be settled under the jurisdiction of the UAE courts.

 

11. Health & Fitness Requirements

 

11.1. Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are physically and mentally fit to participate in the trip activities. Some trips may involve hiking, altitude, swimming, or other physically demanding activities.


11.2. PAX Journeys reserves the right to decline a participant if, in our opinion, their health or behavior could compromise the safety, comfort, or experience of the group.

 

12. Travel Documents & Entry Requirements

 

12.1. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport (with at least 6 months’ validity) and all necessary visas, permits, and vaccinations required for the destination.

 

12.2. PAX Journeys is not liable for any delays, cancellations, or additional costs incurred due to incomplete or incorrect documentation.

 

13. Media Release

 

13.1. By joining a PAX Journeys trip, you consent to being photographed and filmed by staff or fellow participants for promotional purposes, including social media, websites, and marketing materials, unless you notify us in writing before the trip.By booking a trip with PAX Journeys, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
